Preparing for your NDIS plan review
An NDIS plan review is your opportunity to show the NDIA what's working, what isn't, and what support you actually need going forward. Reviews that go smoothly tend to have one thing in common: preparation that starts weeks, not days, before the meeting.
What to gather beforehand
On the day
Bring a support person if that helps — a family member, advocate or your support coordinator. It's completely normal to want a second person in the room, particularly for a longer or more complex review.
If your plan includes Supported Independent Living, your SIL provider's input on your Roster of Care and any changes to support needs is often directly relevant to the review — ask them for a written summary well ahead of time rather than at the last minute.
Finally, know that outcomes aren't always immediate. If a decision doesn't reflect what you asked for, you can request a review of that decision — the NDIS website outlines the internal review and appeal process.
