Supported Independent Living in Parramatta
MMT Care provides NDIS-registered Supported Independent Living (SIL) in Parramatta and western Sydney — with 24/7 support, a Registered Nurse included at no extra cost, and homes built for participants with complex needs.
What does NDIS SIL look like in Parramatta?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support that covers the assistance you need to live as independently as possible in a home shared with other participants, or on your own. It pays for your support workers and overnight care — not your rent, which is funded separately through SDA or the private rental market.
Parramatta is one of the strongest locations in Sydney for SIL participants. It sits at the geographic centre of greater Sydney with rail, bus and light rail connections in every direction, a major hospital precinct at Westmead, and a wide range of allied health, pharmacy, and community services within easy reach.
A Registered Nurse is included within our Parramatta SIL service at no additional cost to the participant or their family. This is particularly important for participants who transition from Westmead Hospital or the Children's Hospital and require continuity of clinical oversight once they leave an inpatient setting.

We don't just fill a vacancy — we match participants to an environment that can genuinely sustain their support needs long-term.
Registered Nurse Included
Every MMT Care SIL home in Parramatta has an allocated Registered Nurse who provides clinical oversight, medication management and health monitoring. There is no additional charge to the participant's NDIS plan.
Complex Needs Welcome
We support participants with dual diagnosis, HIDPA requirements, behavioural support needs, and those transitioning from hospital, forensic or institutional settings. We accept participants other providers cannot accommodate.
24/7 Active Support
Our Parramatta homes are staffed around the clock — active overnight support is standard. We do not operate on a passive overnight model where participants are left unsupported during night hours.
Bespoke Support Planning
We build each participant's support plan from scratch. Daily routines, meal preferences, communication styles, cultural needs and goal plans are all documented before a participant moves in — not after.
Parramatta & Western Sydney Expertise
We have established relationships with Westmead Hospital discharge teams, western Sydney LACs, and local allied health providers. Our Parramatta staff know the area and the services available.
Transparent Vacancy Process
We will not place a participant in a home that isn't suitable. If we don't have an appropriate vacancy in Parramatta, we'll tell you clearly, keep you updated, and help identify alternatives in nearby western Sydney suburbs.
Why Parramatta works for NDIS participants
Location matters in SIL. Proximity to hospitals, allied health, public transport and community services directly affects a participant's quality of life and the sustainability of their support.
Westmead Hospital Precinct
Westmead Hospital, the Children's Hospital at Westmead, and Cumberland Hospital are all within 5 km. This is critical for participants who require frequent specialist appointments, allied health input or who transition from inpatient care.
Public Transport Access
Parramatta Station sits on the main Western and Cumberland lines with direct access to the CBD, Blacktown, Penrith, Liverpool and beyond. The Parramatta Light Rail connects participants to Westmead and Carlingford without needing a car.
Allied Health & Community Services
Parramatta has a high concentration of NDIS allied health providers including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, psychologists, and behaviour support practitioners — making it easier to build a support team without long travel.
Multicultural Community
Parramatta is one of Sydney's most culturally diverse suburbs. This matters for participants who prefer staff who share their language or cultural background — our team reflects this diversity.
Shopping, Recreation & Amenity
Westfield Parramatta, Parramatta Park, the riverside walk, cinemas and a wide range of cafes and restaurants are easily accessible for participants working on community participation goals.
Clinical support at no extra cost
Unlike many SIL providers in Parramatta, MMT Care includes a Registered Nurse in every home — this is not billed separately to your NDIS plan. It is a standard part of how we operate.
Medication & Health Monitoring
Our RN oversees medication administration, manages health documentation, and monitors participants for changes in condition — reducing unnecessary hospital presentations.
Hospital-to-SIL Liaison
When a participant transitions from Westmead Hospital or another inpatient setting, our RN liaises directly with the hospital discharge team to ensure continuity of clinical care.
Not Billed to Your Plan
There is no line item or separate NDIS support category charge for the Registered Nurse. It is included as part of MMT Care's standard SIL service offering in Parramatta.
How to access a Parramatta SIL placement
The NDIS SIL process involves several steps — but our team will guide you through each one. Here's what to expect.
Submit a Referral
Complete our online referral form or call 1300 066 822. Share the participant's current NDIS plan, support needs summary, and any relevant clinical reports.
Intake & Assessment
Our intake team reviews the referral within one business day. We assess whether our Parramatta environment is a clinical and social match for the participant.
Home Visit & Trial
If there is a suitable vacancy, we arrange a home visit for the participant and their family. Trial stays are available before any long-term commitment is made.
Plan & Move In
We prepare a bespoke support plan before the participant moves in. The Registered Nurse conducts a clinical onboarding, and the participant's support team is briefed and rostered.
