Our programs are designed around what you enjoy — with caring support staff, welcoming environments, and real opportunities to build connections that matter.

FAQ — Community Participation
MMT Care's Community Participation service helps NDIS participants engage in social, recreational, and community-based activities. Supports are tailored around each person's interests and goals — whether that's joining a class, attending a weekly social event, visiting a community space, or participating in group programs. Our three signature programs are the Bungalow Experience, Club Friday, and the Lifestyle Program.
As a registered NDIS provider, MMT Care offers Community Participation supports to participants with relevant funding in their NDIS plan — suitable for participants who want to develop social skills, improve independence, build friendships, or engage in activities aligned with their personal goals, across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.
Support can cover a broad range of activities: social groups, holiday camps, community events, library visits, educational workshops, fitness (gym, swimming, sports), arts (painting, music, crafts), and nature walks. The aim is not just attendance — it's skill development, relationship building, and supporting personal growth through meaningful community engagement.
Community Participation supports are typically funded under "Assistance with Social and Community Participation" (Core Supports) or "Increased Social and Community Participation" (Capacity Building) in an NDIS plan. Your Support Coordinator or LAC can help identify the right funding categories in your plan.
Community Participation focuses on social access, activities and skill-building outside the home — in community settings. In-Home SIL support focuses on structured daily living, personal care, and independent living skills within the participant's home. Both can be included in an NDIS plan and complement each other.
Contact MMT Care by calling 1300 066 822 or via the website. During an initial consultation, we'll explore your interests, assess what community activities suit you, and work with you — and your NDIS planner or Support Coordinator — to design a tailored participation plan.
MMT Care programs provide a welcoming, supportive environment — operated from locations across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland.
